Who we are
This notice covers thecareleaders.com. The website is run by The Care Leaders Ltd (company number 10782615), registered office Office 207, Unit 5, 399-405 Oxford Street, London W1C 2BU. We are the data controller for the personal information collected here. You can contact us about your data at hello@thecareleaders.com.
What we collect
Enquiry form: your name, role, organisation, email, phone number if you give one, what you’d like to talk about and anything you tell us. If you’re booking a keynote, we also ask for the details of your event and a mobile number for the day.
Emails and calls: whatever you choose to tell us when you contact us.
Enquiries: when you send our enquiry form, your details pass through Web3Forms, a form service, which emails them to us. We keep them in our Microsoft 365 mailbox and use them only to reply to you. You’ll get an automatic reply based on what you asked about, sent from our Microsoft 365 account. For a keynote, that reply checks Luke’s diary for the date you gave. The form sets no cookies.
Brochure downloads: when you download a brochure, your first name, email, organisation and role go to Mailchimp, which runs our mailing list. We use them to send you the brochure and, only if you tick the box, occasional news and guides. You can unsubscribe from any email.
We don’t ask for sensitive information, and we ask you not to include personal details about children or families when you contact us.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry and arrange a booking: our lawful basis is legitimate interests, because you’ve asked us to get in touch.
To deliver a booking you’ve confirmed: our lawful basis is contract.
We only send you marketing if you’ve chosen to receive it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We use trusted services to run the website, our forms and our email: GitHub (website hosting), Web3Forms (our enquiry form), Mailchimp (our mailing list) and Microsoft 365 (email and automatic replies). Mailchimp and Web3Forms may store information outside the UK, with the safeguards UK data protection law requires. Some case studies include films hosted on YouTube, shown in privacy-enhanced mode; YouTube only receives information about you if you play a film. If your enquiry is about a keynote, we share it with Luke Speaks Ltd, which contracts and invoices keynotes. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for two years after our last contact with you. If you book with us, we keep booking and invoice records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@thecareleaders.com and we’ll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
